Problems with being disciplined or sacked

To sort out problems with being disciplined or sacked there are three things you always need to do first:

  1. Get you a copy of your employment contract. Read it carefully and keep it to hand
  2. Get you a copy your company’s Disciplinary Policy. Read it carefully and keep it to hand. Use it to keep an eye on whether your employer is following their own disciplinary process
  3. Get you a copy of other papers the Disciplinary Policy and your employment contract talk about like your company’s
    • Code of Conduct for staff
    • Staff Handbook
    • Equal Opportunities or Diversity Policy.
