Discrimination at work is against the law. All work places should have a policy that says what your employer will do if someone is discriminating against you. Ask to see this policy if you feel you are being discriminated against.

Taking action about discrimination

The Equality Act 2010 says you must not be discriminated against because of a protected characteristic. But taking action against discrimination can be complex. To win the case you need to take action step-by-step. Find information from the Citizens Advice Bureau about:

Not discrimination under the Equality Act 2010?

If you have not been discriminated against because of a protected characteristic you cannot use the Equality Act 2010. But you can use the Protection Against Harassment Act 1997.
