Time Limits and Deadlines
There are time limits that apply to sorting out most benefit problems. Its normally 30 days or one month. You can take action if you miss a deadline. Do it as soon as you know you have missed a deadline. Choose I’ve missed a deadline below.

- applied for a benefit and not yet got it
- not heard anything about your claim at all
If you have got your benefit, or a benefit letter and you are not happy with the decision
If you have been told your claim has stopped and you’ve been overpaid

- had a bad service from a benefit office
- been discriminated against when you made a claim
